All Concerned People Around The World,
Kindly lend me your attention for a few moments. Thank you

Let us begin our reflection and discourse from where we are
today. We are now in a very crucial stage in the history of
the world and in our lives; to determine the kind of
heritage we really wish or desire to bequeath to the future
human generation, either by our actions, inactions or group
default anomie.
There is therefore the urgent need for a
dispassionate but
rational and
critical analysis of the contributions we are making or wish
to make to enhance the quality of life that we as a people
live; and the competences our efforts can foster or
generate.
The World Is In A State Of Flux
Whether you are aware of it or not, there are fundamental
changes that are continuously taking place all around us;
and many of these require that we keenly observe them and
respond appropriately to the challenges that they pose,
especially to our health and wellness.
In relation to the containment and eradication of the
malaria pandemic, it will be curious if the relevant
authorities, who ought to know the enormity of the problem,
but perhaps for some very mundane reasons, appear to have
been "afflicted" by ennui, which can only be a direct
consequence of a flawed process and implementation errors
arising from the continuous modification of an ineffective
"one-system approach".
It becomes even more worrisome if such an approach (which
is essentially based on academic science that focuses on the
“bits and pieces” of life instead of the holistic and
integrative analysis of the workings of an entire organism)
is massively funded and
supported globally; but is in itself inadequate or
antipathetic to other points of view that guarantee positive
change and a
permanent solution.
Here
Then Is
A Very Important Message For The World:
Something To Reflect
On Deeply And Think About, Seriously.
Eleven
years ago: On May 13, 1998, after her election as the
Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland made
her thought-provoking Speech to the 51st World Health
Assembly in Geneva.
It was
intended to spiral positive changes and engineer pragmatic
and realistic approaches that were to provide practicable and
dynamic solutions
to combat
malaria and other preventable "diseases
of the poor".
Today, surprisingly and very unfortunately,
the situation remains the same; if not worse. The grim
statistics seem to escalate, unabated.
It is time therefore; we ask ourselves,
We reproduce below, part of that speech.
She declared:
“There are two roads we must follow:
One road leads to our work on the ground. We must
combat disease, premature death and disability. We must give
advice on best practices to achieve equity and quality,
set standards and norms. We must encourage, support and
trigger the best research and development.
The other road leads to the levels of political decision
making where the broader agenda for development is set.
We must speak out for health in development, bringing
health to the core of the development agenda. That is
where it belongs, as the key to poverty reduction and
development underpinned by the values of equity, human
dignity and human rights . . .
We must reach out to the NGO community. Their
reach often goes beyond that of any official body. . .
I propose that together we Roll Back Malaria. Not as a
revamped vertical program but by developing a new health
sector wide approach to combat the disease at global,
regional and country and local levels.
Why malaria? Many have asked this question. For my part the
answer is simple…
Malaria is the single largest disease in Africa and a
primary cause of poverty.
Every day, 3000 children die from malaria. Every
year, there are
500
million cases among children and adults.
Who said infectious diseases were becoming yesterday’s
problem? The human suffering is unacceptable and so
is the economic burden and impediment to progress. Time
has come to respond with a new approach. Time has come
to Roll Back Malaria.
Why now? Because the call is there. We have enough
knowledge, skills and tools to launch a new concerted
effort. Africa is responding. African leaders are
committing to a renewed effort to control malaria.
Africa should be spearheading the project . . .
My motivation will be this. Making a difference. I
see that as a privilege – being able to make an effort –
being one of many dedicated people working together for
what we believe in.
I envisage a world where solidarity binds the fortunate with
those less favored. Where our collective efforts will help
roll back all the diseases of the poor. Where our collective
efforts assure universal access to compassionate and
competent health care.
Bringing the world one step closer to that goal is our call
for action.”

And in relation to Dr. Brundtland’s vision expressed in the
last paragraph, I will like to REPEAT that last qualifying
sentence very quickly here -
"Bringing the world one step

Further
as the former South African President, F. W. de Klerk said:
“…
I would hope that history will recognize that I, together
with all those who supported me, have shown courage,
integrity and honesty at the moment of truth in our history.
That we took the right turn.”
It
Is Time For Action . . . .
My
message here will be brief and straight to the point.
We at
Malaria Eradication Network, have
drawn wonderful inspirations from these two eminent persons
quoted above. Let us all however remember, the issue here is the
eradication of malaria from our world.
It is now the
moment
of truth; the time for everyone concerned to “take the
right turn”; to show courage and display a high level of
integrity and honesty in dealing with issues that concern
the world’s number one infectious parasitic disease -
malaria - and the very large
number of people it affects or are at risk daily.
It is time we sincerely address the horrendous inequities
that make the malaria disease a continental catastrophe, a global
“black spot” and “festering sore” on the international
healthcare scene.
We have been too complacent, thus allowing the malaria
pandemic to wage a kind of guerilla warfare on the
vulnerable and ignorant
amongst us; whether they are educated or illiterate, rich or poor,
is of no consequence here. And the size of this group grows
daily - running to hundreds of millions of people. It
is truly catastrophic. Currently, about 3.3
billion people or half of the world's population are at
risk of malaria infestation annually. That's frightening
enough!
Let Us Take the Right Turn
Notwithstanding that it is both preventable and curable, the
fatal statistics have continued to escalate and be worrisome
because, up to now, the world has only focused its attention
on taking “the wrong turn” which it presumed will “solve the
problem”. But as events have shown, that hasn't changed the
situation positively as expected.
Thankfully, there is another way, which has been ignored
deliberately up to now either by error of omission,
commission or ignorance by majority of people; but
which only a few inquiring or knowledgeable minds use in the
prevention, treatment and cure of malaria, very
successfully.
The Secret - "The Dynamic
Coefficient Of Success"

We believe this is a better way for the various Governments,
Philanthropists, Individuals, Private and Public, Local and
International Donor Organizations and Corporate Bodies, to
practically demonstrate their show of much Love and
Compassion for malaria sufferers and potential victims, by
implementing a solution that will eradicate malaria from
their lives.
Natural, Holistic and Complementary
Therapies and Remedies that promote
and sustain Good Health and Wellness, are the key elements in a
truly dynamic approach to actualize the goal of a
Malaria-Free World.
Focus Should Be On The Eradication And Not On Mere Reduction
Of The Malaria Burden
We at Malaria Eradication Network believe that the
focus should be on the total eradication or elimination
of the malaria scourge and not a mere “reduction of
the malaria burden by half by the year 2010”. It is now
2009 and the situation has not changed from ten years ago
when that idea was mooted. So how are we going to "reduce
the burden by half" in under one year from now? Is it
through the current efforts or through what means? Therefore
we believe that putting focus on
eradication, the
ultimate solution, in
our view, is what dynamism and innovation is all about.
It is a very feasible and an
achievable goal if the Malaria-endemic Countries, the
International Community and all stakeholders are willing and
sincere in their resolves and approaches to solve the
problem once and for all.

we have been trying our utmost best to convince local and

the needed logistic support, financial and material
resources to kick-start the process.
We believe however that our determination,
